Our Story
Born in Radeberg. Dedicated to Pilsner since 1872.
In 1872, five men in the small Saxon town of Radeberg shared a simple belief: Pilsner could be better. Not louder. Not more complicated. Just better. They were not brewers by trade. They were driven by curiosity, ambition and a clear idea of quality. Instead of copying what already existed, they set out to refine it. Their focus was on one beer style only – Pilsner – and on doing it with absolute precision. That decision still defines Radeberger Pilsner today.
Five Founders. One Clear Vision.
The founders came from different backgrounds – business, politics and industry. What united them was the courage to challenge convention and the confidence to invest in quality.
Gustav Philipp
A landowner and the first director of the brewery. He was the driving force behind the founding and invested a large part of his personal fortune to turn the vision into reality.
